Parachutes, Parents, and Pants

This makes me chortle.

I’ve never gotten to inlay an eyeball before.

Someone’s very proud of her new purple shoes! This is only the second pair of shoes she’s made with a welt and she did a great job. Plus, she says they fit perfectly.

New project. It’s complicated.

Paige finished inseaming her shoes and she’s feeling pumped. She hasn’t done as much inseaming as I have though!

It was a long hard day of skiving and there are wing pieces everywhere.

I strongly believe in writing thank you notes and this is the notecard I print for my notes. Today it occurred to me to add my name and contact information to the backside of the card. I typed that in and flipped it upside down so it would be correctly oriented when the card was folded. Unfortunately I failed to notice that the print was also backwards, so all the notes I sent out today have my name printed backwards. It’s very professional.

This is what accounting looks like when your hard drive crashes and you lose 7 months of business data. I’m keeping track of everything on paper in the desperate hope that my data will be recovered and I can just enter the last few days. Then I will press on, sadder, wiser, poorer, and with better backed-up information.
