My new apprentice Mallory is showing a remarkable aptitude for leather inlay and overlay. She’s inlaid the Beijing Drum and Bell Towers into her boot tops.

Introducing the encore edition of “Working Man Blues.” These boots have needed to be resoled for a long time and I’m happy to have them back.

I don’t have too much more work, and then these boots I made for myself in 2009 will be back on my feet.

To my everlasting gratitude, the feathers floated down into exactly the right spot on the boot vamp. On both boots, too!

Tomorrow it will be time to put this pair of boots on the last.
