Dale and I are watching the test copy of my “How to Make Cowboy Boots” DVD set. We’re watching the “How to Fit a Last” section and he just said, “Wow, you really go into detail on that!” in a tone that suggests he’s getting tired of learning about fitting a last.
I think I celebrated completing this boot top a little early. See the unstitched flower on the bottom right? Perhaps I should fix that before I go any further.
This week on “It’s a Boot Life”
Lisa talks about how to properly position a wingtip, announces the arrival (finally!) of a shipment of Baker Leather from England, and shares her opinion on the wisdom and efficiency of being self-taught.
I’ll be stitching the design on these little boot tops today. Here the right side is stitched and the left side is not. The right side is so much prettier!
This is what a pair of cowboy boots looks like from the bottom after the toe is in.
Here’s the completed toe in the tulip stitched boots.
