Over on Sorrell Notions and Findings, I now have pegging awl hafts, pegging awls, and wooden pegs in stock. Also, I finally updated the thread page with all of the size 33 thread and colors I have available.
This is a pair of boots I made for a client in 2002, and they’ve come back for new soles and heels. I finished up several pairs of boots in September, and after that it was France, Texas, North Carolina, Oregon, and sick kid. It felt good to inseam a pair of boots today, although I was a little surprised (and relieved) that I still remembered how to do it.

Look what I received in the mail this morning! It’s Red Currant Chutney, hand-made by the president of Renia, the German company that makes the water-based glues I sell. I have absolutely no idea what Red Currant Chutney is or how it tastes, which does not dampen my enthusiasm at all!
She slept peacefully all night long, and awoke dreaming of food. I too slept peacefully all night long, and awoke dreaming of more sleep. But now I’m in the shop and looking forward to finally getting to work on cowboy boots again!
This page has been a little slow recently because I haven’t been in the shop since Wednesday. Paige has been very sick with the flu, and I’ve been at home taking care of her. She’s finally feeling a little better–too weak to do anything yet but well enough to be frustrated about it.
