Leather beading

The leather wrapped cord that finishes an edge is called beading. The emotion I’m feeling now that it’s done is called happiness.

Blowing glass

Today I was invited up to the glass blowing studio to try blowing glass with Nancy Callan, an amazing glass blower. I was NOT amazing. I couldn’t manage to both blow and twirl the glass at the same time, and in my sincere efforts to blow in the tube I slobbered all over. I will feature video of my utter failure at glass blowing on “It’s a Boot Life” in May.

Penland School of Craft

New high heels

My daughter Paige made me a pair of high heels! They fit perfectly and I love them. I didn’t dress for heels today though.

The leather is chocolate kangaroo and black hair-on calf. It’s super soft and comfy.
