Judging from the skiving scraps on my floor, I’m feeling blue.

I tell my students that the Boot Maker’s Prayer is, “Please match, please match.” In this case it was answered.

Skiving all these tiny little fingers was not quite the joyful experience you might be imagining.

I photographed these boots this morning and titled them “Always Late.”
