Several years ago, a customer of mine brought in a pair of boots made by a Texas boot maker named Don Atkinson. They were beautifully made but I especially admired how neat and clean and flawless they were where the heel area of the boot met the sole. Since that day I’ve been working hard to create a perfectly defined and flat heel area on my boots and shoes. I’m pretty happy with the heel area on these.

Perfect! These shoes are turning out beautifully. I am curious, what are you going to do with the rough out here?
Geno,
I made two pairs, one smooth and one rough out, and let the customer choose. She chose the smooth so I’m finishing those for her. I’m going to make the rough out pair for display and someday, when the right person comes along and they fit, I’ll sell them.
