Getting back into the routine of working has been tough–I miss my daughter Paige so much in the shop. But… it’s time to go back to work, and I decided to start with a happy little project that she would have admired, so I made myself a new watchband.

About customboots
I'm a custom cowboy boot maker. I own a business, Sorrell Custom Boots, and I create bespoke cowboy boots using vintage machinery and hand tools. I also own www.sorrellnotionsandfindings.com, a company that specializes in tools, supplies, and leather for the boot and shoe making trade.
That is a VERY BEAUTIFUL Watch band.
Thank you!
Very nice indeed! You got the same colors as the flowers on the Mountain Rose potatoes that are blooming in my garden right now….mysterious.
So sorry to hear about Paige. I’m not very good at words for these things; I just put her on the part of my permanent prayer list for those waiting for us on the other side.
I haven’t forgotten about the videos of using Aquilim with rubber I promised you at Pendleton
year before last. The most important MP4 file I made last summer (the one of actually putting a sole on) turned out so badly due to disorganized monologue and distracting visual background I deleted it. (The sole itself was fine, though.) I’ll try again with the boot I am closing now.
Maybe I’ll throw in a picture of the potato flowers to make up for the delay!
Regards,
Mark
Thank you!
I am so sorry to hear about Paige too. I’ve been peeking in at your videos – and hers – for a few years. I am a shoe lover and a costume designer, and I’ve always hoped to someday learn to make shoes and boots. It has been a dream of mine to come and participate in one of your workshops one day.
I was always impressed with Paige and thought it was so nice that the two of you shared a common interest, and that you both had your own unique styles.
I wish you many peaceful thoughts.
Thank you.
