For everyone who has admired the work of my students and inquired about taking classes, I’m going to post this information:
At this time, I don’t have any cowboy boot making classes planned, nor do I plan to schedule any in the near future. When I teach a class, the student takes off work, rents a hotel, and drives or flies here–it’s a significant expense for them, and I don’t have an assistant teacher. If I get sick or if a member of my family gets sick, it’s very stressful for me to teach full-time AND handle personal stuff that needs to be done. I agreed to have a student here for five weeks once, and both of my husband’s brothers died during that five week span. As much as I love teaching, doing it with no backup plan is exhausting and I’m taking a break.
I do have an 8 DVD of my entire boot making class available. Paige is using it right now to build her second pair of boots and she says it’s very comprehensive and thorough. 🙂

About customboots

I'm a custom cowboy boot maker. I own a business, Sorrell Custom Boots, and I create bespoke cowboy boots using vintage machinery and hand tools. I have no employees, but my daughter Paige works in my shop with me. She has her own business making ladies shoes.

I am just very thankful that I had the wonderful opportunity to attend your class of bootmaking and share time with you, Dale, the girls and of course the llamas.
