Boot making class on DVD

I just finished editing the final video of my boot making class. I’m express mailing a DVD I burned to the video company on Monday to make sure I did it correctly and my format is usable. If I hear good news from them next week I’ll have a boxed set of boot making class DVDs available soon (like two-three weeks soon)!

About customboots

I'm a custom cowboy boot maker. I own a business, Sorrell Custom Boots, and I create bespoke cowboy boots using vintage machinery and hand tools. I also own, a company that specializes in tools, supplies, and leather for the boot and shoe making trade.

Lisa, that is so exciting. Please let me know when it is available for purchase. I have a dream of making boots and shoes but couldn’t commit to a month long class and would be a pretty big burden financially. What are the particulars, highlights, what you expect the student to learn…etc? Thanks for your commitment to teaching and keeping an art ALIVE!

In the video I cover every step of making a pair of cowboy boots with the exception of choosing and fitting a last. I hope to do a separate video on that process in the spring.

Very Excited! What about cost, what are you thinking? Do they come only in a boxed set or can you purchase one at a time? BTW how many videos in the set?

They’re only going to be available as a boxed set. Originally I said it wouldn’t cover fitting a last but I’m filming that part now so I can include that information also. It’s going to be an 8 disc set–7 DVDs and one CD with printed instructions and printable pattern templates. It will sell for $750.
