Ostrich leg vamps and counter covers Ostrich leg isn’t wide enough for a full vamp so they have to be pieced. You’d have to find an ostrich with cankles to make a full vamp.

Progress is being made on the puppy boots! The dog carvings in the boot tops were done by the talented Kathy Flanagan of Black Mountain Leather.

The puppy paw prints wingtip is in leather now. Cutting and skiving is finished; next I’ll inlay in the colors.

I found my meditation zone for a while today, stitching boot tops.
