I’ll be stitching the design on these little boot tops today. Here the right side is stitched and the left side is not. The right side is so much prettier!

Here’s the completed toe in the tulip stitched boots.

My student and I are putting toe boxes into our boots today. The stiffener that gives the toe its shape is called a “toe box.”

The lasts are fitted, the insole is on, and the boots are ready to be put on the last. Sounds like a good job for tomorrow.

Tammy is an advanced student, so one of the boots she’s making has an inlaid top. It will have a beautiful butterfly design in memory of a very dear friend.

Tammy is my current student; she’ll be here for another three weeks. She’s making a pair of boots for herself and her husband.

Paige is making herself a new pair of shoes. Here she’s cutting the lining for her shoes.

The back panels for my next pair of boots are stitched and the design is marked onto the front panels. I’ll save those for another day. Straight lines are more difficult than curved lines.
