Boot toes

My student and I are putting toe boxes into our boots today. The stiffener that gives the toe its shape is called a “toe box.”

Boots with tulips

The lasts are fitted, the insole is on, and the boots are ready to be put on the last. Sounds like a good job for tomorrow.

Tammy’s boots

Tammy is an advanced student, so one of the boots she’s making has an inlaid top. It will have a beautiful butterfly design in memory of a very dear friend.

Tulip design

The back panels for my next pair of boots are stitched and the design is marked onto the front panels. I’ll save those for another day. Straight lines are more difficult than curved lines.
