I’ve made a small start on this pair of boots too. They have a turquoise foot with chocolate wing and counter tips. I have the wing and counter tips done but there’s a lot more work to go.

Completed design and fitted last–proof I actually got some work done today.

Paige saw me working and thought it would make a good photo. Then, since she had the camera, this happened.

I worked on fitting lasts all day today. It’s not the most glamorous part of my job, but it is the part that makes all the pretty, artistic bits possible.

I use a double handled knife to trim the heel breast on my cowboy boots and I’m frequently asked where they can be purchased. I’ve finally tracked down a source for them and they’re now available through my web site. … Continue reading →
