I’m starting a pretty pair of boots!

I received a thank you note today from Mrs. Fromhart; she’s one of the people to whom I dedicated my book. I had her for eighth grade English and she was a big influence in my life. I’ve only seen her once since we moved from West Virginia 27 years ago.

My latest last order has arrived, and it has some cute little baby cowboy boot lasts in it. I’m not keeping these in stock at the moment, but if you want some I can get them.

Wow! I have all of my pre-ordered books signed, packed, and ready to ship. It was a big job and I couldn’t have done it without Dale, my wonderful helper.

Here’s a link to my newsletter for June. My newsletter is often a composite of pictures and information I’ve posted in other places throughout the month, but this one contains news that hasn’t been published anywhere yet!
On “It’s a Boot Life” this month, I talk about choosing the correct last length.
Look at the wonderful gift I received from my cousin Madison Cole and his family! It’s an exquisitely-made wooden mallet; I think it’s too beautiful to use.

I’m spending time today with my little barefoot shoemaker. ❤

The inlaid feathers are on the boot fronts, and the outstretched, stitched wings are on the boot backs.

This is what the front of the boots will look like. The back panels are totally different.
