Old Scratch decided to show up for these boots too. Ostrich does like to twist, and it took me four tries to last the second boot. We finally called a draw; I didn’t quite get it where I wanted it, but the boot certainly doesn’t sit on the last where it wanted to either.
I tucked his ears up out of the way, because they don’t need to be wet when I last the boots.
Satan is on the last, and he gave me a blister to remember my day.
This pair of boots will go on the last tomorrow.
I sewed the vamps and counters on these boots, sewed the side seams, and turned them today. Next week I’ll attach the long fancy pulls and then I’ll be ready to put them on the last.
These boots will have really long boot pulls.

I wanted to get these boot tops stitched before going home, but it’s supper time and they can wait until tomorrow. I am really liking the way these are developing!
I like to make boots in pairs, and this is the second boot I’ll be working on for the next few weeks.
