The one piece boot tops are ready to be put on the last. The process of putting these together will be the topic of my YouTube video this month.

Close-ups from today’s work

I had planned to stitch all four top panels today but it didn’t happen. Now I will go home and follow the Lisa Sorrell Small Business Rule: “When I’m at the shop I don’t worry about what’s not done at home, when I’m at home I don’t worry about what’s not done at the shop.”

I’ve had a drawer full of pieces for weeks, but they’re finally coming together and beginning to look like a boot top.

My work is featured on Dangerous Minds today and I’m ridiculously flattered by this. My mind IS sorta dangerous.
My calendars will arrive on Wednesday, so I went ahead and created a link for ordering.

I found a good source for calendars, did some graphic designing (I love graphic design!), and created a calendar. Here’s the cover image, and I’ll let you know when they arrive!

I’m almost finished stitching these boot tops. This is a one-piece top and it’s not easy wrestling this much leather around in the sewing machine and getting 6 rows of stitching on it.
