I haven’t posted many pictures of the boots I’ve been making alongside Taylor, but here’s a shot of both boots. Taylor’s in the background sanding the boot heel.

Taylor put the soles on her boots today. If you look closely you can see the bandaged finger; there was a tragic accident when she was hammering the shanks.
I send out a newsletter once a month and also post the newsletter on my web site. I updated the web site with my September newsletter today.

Today Taylor and I inseamed our boots, which means hand-sewing the welt onto the boot. The welt is a narrow strip of leather that will hold the sole stitching.

Taylor’s boots are lasted and the toe has been put in.

Taylor has just finished lasting her boots and wiping all of the wrinkles out of the heel area.

Taylor and I are getting ready to put our boots on the last. She won’t be able to try them on again until they’re finished.

Taylor sideseamed her boots today and turned them right side out, then decided to go ahead and try them on. Soles and heels optional…

My client who ordered the cowboy boot shoes is happy! (I can tell happy feet when I see them.)
