Sewing side seams is fun. Getting the side seams completed with no disasters is even more fun. I’m halfway through in this photo.

Someone pointed out that the eagle’s head on this boot was SUPPOSED to be white. I really have no excuse for missing this particular detail. Fortunately it wasn’t too late to fix it.

I’m working on my www.sorrellnotionsandfindings.com website today. I’m adding all of the lasts to that website, with updated and current stock quantities. I have five last models up already and should complete the remainder of the last models by this evening. If you want to order, or see exactly what sizes and widths I have in stock in which models, check it out!
I’m working on boots again in my studio, and today I sewed the vamps and counter covers onto this pair of boots. They’re a little tricky, because the eagle’s tail feathers extend over the tongue. I sewed the eagle completely except for the tail feathers, sewed the vamps and counter covers onto the tops, and now I’m doing the decorative stitching on the tail feathers.

Oh my goodness, my friends in Japan sent me a pair of lasting pliers and a knife too, as a gift! They really know the way to my heart.

This box has been sitting unopened on my desk for two weeks, because I just didn’t have the time or energy to deal with it. It’s all of the tools and supplies that I shipped to my class in Japan, shipped back to me in the US. When I finally opened it this morning, I found that they’d included snacks! I’d open all boxes immediately if I thought there was food inside!

Carina, Tanja, and I visited a saddle maker in Switzerland. He had bristles that were from around the mouth of a whale! This is Carina and me with our whale mustaches.

My book on leather inlay/overlay is available for pre-order! It’s $34.99 and it should arrive at my shop by July 4. If you’d like to pre-order and pay now, I’ll sign your copy. My shop phone number is 405-282-5464.

Soon I’ll have all of the pieces stitched and I’ll be able to start putting them together.
