I’m spending time today with my little barefoot shoemaker. ❤

The inlaid feathers are on the boot fronts, and the outstretched, stitched wings are on the boot backs.

This is what the front of the boots will look like. The back panels are totally different.

Oh no! I’ve been out of the shop so long that I skived the wrong side!   Ha, not really. These boot tops are “rough out” (fuzzy side up) so I had to skive on the right side.

Me: I’m going to TRY to work on boots today in the shop. Paige: It’s been so long, are you sure you remember how? This is such a very valid point I had no argument.

Someone sent Paige a bunch of vintage wooden lasts for ladies shoes. Here she is, taking inventory of her newfound riches.
