I finished the soles on these boots and started building the heels today.

My student finished his boots this morning. He said he loved building boots and wanted to make more!

I’m pegging soles this morning.

My current student Jason is inseaming his boots. Over to the far right you can see the one he stitched this morning.

I have one of them inseamed–this is how I hand sew using the cords from the previous image.

I’m making progress on the blue boots! The cords hanging over the boots are the inseaming threads. I prepared those yesterday so I can use them for sewing the welt on today.

I have them on the last and they’re starting to look like boots!

It’s the boot shop version of a quilting bee. All of my students were trimming insoles at the same time.
